How to Create an Account on an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch

In order to activate your device and have access to the thousands of applications available for your Apple devices, you will need an iTunes Store account. You can quickly create one through iTunes or directly from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Once your account is created, you will be able to purchase and download applications from your device. You can also purchase and download music, books and videos.

     Access your device settings and choose "Store."

     Choose "Create New Account."

     Select the country in which you live.

     Accept the Terms and Conditions. You will have the option to have these emailed to you if you want to read them that way.

     Enter your personal information. You will need to enter your email address, a password and some security questions to help with account recovery should you lose your password or require account verification for other reasons.

     Enter your billing information. Your credit card will be automatically charged for your purchases when using the iTunes Store. You must have a valid payment source in your account. If you prefer not to use a credit card, you can use a prepaid iTunes card or gift card.
